Today was our first RISE Reset for freshmen. Anna Paige and Bruce Ivory were recognized as leaders for their grade level. They are pictured here with their 9th grade counselor, Mrs. Akiona.


Students in Mrs. Armstrong's Cosmetology classes have been learning about various braiding techniques. We love to see students putting their knowledge and skills to work. Great job!

Our teachers don't get enough credit for what they do. Each month we like to allow students to nominate who they feel is deserving of Teacher of the Month. Students chose 5 absolute rock stars for August! Congrats, Mrs. Davis, Coach Brose, Mrs. Krepps, Coach Weiss, & Col. Conroy!


Just a reminder that this coming weekend is a three day weekend. Everyone enjoy Labor Day on Monday!


Mr. Markham's theater class was proud to show off their superheros they had to create, give powers to, and present to the class. This is a great example of authentic student engagement!


Mr. Kyle Gilpin joined us last year, but we were never able to formally introduce his hire. So, meet one of our rockstar teachers! Mr. Gilpin has done a phenomenal job connecting with students and teaching History. CHS is so lucky to have him!


Today Asst. Chief Stacy Smith and
Captain Matt Jenkins of the Cleveland Police Dept. presented Officer Travis Graig his Retired Officerโs Badge and ID Card for his 27 years of service with the CPD. This presentation occurred during Officer Graigโs Criminal Justice class at CHS.
Thank you Officer Graig for your years of service to our community and for this opportunity for our students to learn from your real life experiences! We are blessed to have you teaching our students at CHS!

Seniors in Mrs. Morris's RISE requested help in Math as they prepare for the October 1st ACT. Mrs. Scurlock came to the rescue & has been teaching skills and tips to improve their scores. Improvements will help put extra money in their pockets for college. Thanks, Mrs. Scurlock!
