Student Spotlight: Madalyn Dauphinais
Madalyn is an 8th grader at CMS, and her favorite thing about our school is the welcoming environment of the teachers and staff. She is involved in football/ wrestling cheer, winterguard, swim team, and BETA club. She writes for the CMS newspaper, Raider Times, and she is a part of the RaiderTV program. She also participates in the CMS linguistics club. Last year, Madalyn won first in the nation for BETAโs science competition, and she will be traveling to complete in BETA club nationals for science this summer. She is excited for the opportunity to
represent CMS at the competition. Her favorite teacher is Mr. Schroll. She said, โhe is always willing to answer my questions, and he makes his class enjoyable.โ

Students in Mrs. Bryson's 7th grade science class are working on Punnett squares during their themed heredity unit!

Cleveland Middle School is preparing for our annual Veterans Day program, honoring the veterans of our United States Armed Forces and educating our students on the importance of Veterans Day. While mitigation efforts to keep our community healthy require changes to our event this year, we are grateful to have the opportunity to express our gratitude both virtually and with students in classrooms on Wednesday, November 11th, 2020. If you or a member of your family have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces and would like to be recognized in our virtual program, please complete this online form by Friday, October 30th: https://forms.gle/fi1qntCtpc4k4faX7. If you have questions about this survey or our virtual program, you may contact Derrick Marr at dmarr@clevelandschools.org.
