Cleveland High School Students and Staff Support 200 People in Need This Holiday Season

In a heartwarming display of empathy and community spirit, Cleveland High School's staff and students have come together to assist 200 people in need during this holiday season. Spearheading this initiative is Learning Support Specialist Lisa Wiley, who oversees the school's food pantry.

The focus of this year's initiative was to collect donations for crockpots and non-perishable food items, aiming to provide essential resources to families facing challenges.

The response from the Cleveland High School community was nothing short of remarkable. Nearly 50 crockpots were generously donated, along with an abundance of food supplies. Each of the families will receive a crockpot, a carefully curated selection of food items, and a pamphlet with recipes to help make the holiday season a little brighter.

"It's incredible to see students donating to their peers during this holiday season," Wiley said. "I think the most important part is that they have empathy for one another and want to make sure their peers are taken care of this holiday season."

This collaborative effort showcases the strong sense of community at Cleveland High School and the commitment of its students and staff to make a positive impact on the lives of those around them. As the holiday season approaches, the school stands united in the belief that everyone deserves warmth, comfort, and joy.
