Cleveland City Schools Introduces the Cleveland Blue Star Award

Cleveland City Schools is thrilled to announce the introduction of the Cleveland "Blue Star" Award for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. This prestigious award aims to honor and celebrate the exceptional contributions of staff members who go above and beyond in their dedication to Cleveland City Schools.

Starting this academic year, Dr. Russell Dyer, Director of Schools for Cleveland City Schools, will personally present the Cleveland "Blue Star" Award to a deserving staff member each month. The award reflects the district's commitment to recognizing those individuals who consistently demonstrate a remarkable commitment to their work, their colleagues, and, most importantly, the students.

"We believe that the heart and soul of our schools are our staff members," Dr. Dyer stated. "The Cleveland 'Blue Star' Award is our way of shining a light on those individuals who make a profound impact on our students' lives and create an inspiring environment for learning and growth."

The selection process for the Cleveland "Blue Star" Award will focus on attributes such as innovation, teamwork, dedication, and a positive influence on the school community. Nominations will be considered by fellow staff members, parents, students, and community members, allowing for a well-rounded perspective on the nominees' contributions.
