Student Information

Greetings to all students and families of Blythe-Bower Elementary School! As we eagerly await the start of the 2023-2024 school year, we extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you. There are some important details we would like to share regarding our registration day on Thursday, August 3rd.

Enrollment & Registration
If you haven't enrolled your child yet, please take a moment to do so as soon as possible. It's a simple process for both RETURNING and NEW students, and you can easily enroll on our enrollment page here. For returning students, please be aware that failure to enroll may result in withdrawal from school and the loss of their place in a class, and we definitely want to avoid that!

New School Hours
For the 2023-2024 academic year, Cleveland City Schools will implement new school hours. Middle and high school students will attend classes from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while elementary school students will have classes from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The school doors will open at 7:45 a.m., ensuring a smooth and timely start to the day.

Reconnection Days
To ensure a seamless transition back to school, we have planned two reconnection days for our students. On Monday, August 7, students with last names beginning A-K will attend a full day of school. On Tuesday, August 8, students with last names beginning L-Z will also attend a full day. Then, on Wednesday, August 9th, we expect all students to be present for their classes.

Registration Day Details
Our registration day will take place on Thursday, August 3rd when you can come to Blythe-Bower Elementary School to complete the registration process and prepare for the new academic year. To ensure a smooth experience, we have designated specific time slots based on the last name of the student.

- Students with last names A-F can come for registration from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.

- Students with last names G-N can come for registration from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

- Students with last names O-Z can come for registration from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

Please note that we highly encourage completing the online registration before coming to the school to expedite the process. If you are unable to make it during your assigned time slot, don't worry! You can come anytime between 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM to complete the registration process. For families who require assistance with language translation, we will have translators available from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM during the registration day. Please remember to bring proof of residence when coming for registration. This is an important requirement to verify your address and ensure that we have the most up-to-date contact information. During the registration day, you will have the opportunity to meet your teacher and get a sneak peek of your classroom. It's a great chance to start building that positive connection with your new teacher and classmates.

Lastly, we want to remind parents that students arriving after 8:30 AM will be considered tardy and must be checked in by our office staff.
