Dr. Joel Barnes is currently serving as the principal of Blythe Bower Elementary School in Cleveland, Tennessee. With a wealth of knowledge and a passion for education, Dr. Barnes brings valuable expertise to his role.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Barnes worked as the Supervisor of Federal Projects and Professional Development for Cleveland City Schools, where he played a pivotal role in overseeing federal projects and facilitating professional development opportunities for educators within the district.

Before his role as a supervisor, Dr. Barnes served as the principal of Blythe Bower Elementary School for five years. During his tenure, he demonstrated practical leadership skills, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for students and staff. His dedication to academic excellence and commitment to student success was evident in the school's achievements and the positive impact on student outcomes. Dr. Barnes's previous experience includes serving as an assistant principal at Cleveland High School and Cleveland Middle School.

Casey Price is one of the assistant principals at Blythe-Bower Elementary School. He pursued his education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, earning a Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on History. Additionally, he furthered his studies at Lee University, where he obtained a Master's in Education, an Ed.S in curriculum and instruction, and completed the Administrator add-on program.

Casey has dedicated his career to education and is now starting his 25th year in Cleveland City Schools, with a cumulative experience of 26 years in the field of education. His journey at Blythe-Bower Elementary School began as an Assistant Principal seven years ago, precisely in 2017. Throughout his tenure, Casey has shown dedication and passion for providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for the students, teachers, and staff at the school. His experience and expertise make him a valuable asset to the Blythe-Bower Elementary School community.

Dr. Kristen Early has served as an assistant principal at Blythe-Bower Elementary School since 2023. Originally from Camden, Tennessee, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Lambuth University, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with Educational Leadership from Bethel University, an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction with Middle Grades Endorsement, and a Doctorate in Professional Practice from Lee University.

With experience dating back to 2012, Dr. Early joined Cleveland City Schools in 2016 and has held various leadership roles. She has been recognized for her dedication, serving as a teacher leader and mentor, presenting at conferences, and leading school initiatives. In 2021, she became an RTIF at Blythe-Bower Elementary, and later, in 2023, she was promoted to Operations Coordinator, then Assistant Principal.

Dr. Early's commitment to educational excellence is evident through her achievements, including winning the Grand Champion award at Lee University's Research Poster Symposium. As an assistant principal, she continues to inspire and create a positive learning environment at Blythe-Bower Elementary School.
